The 2024 Annual Goblet, designed by Glass Studio Manager Alan Iwamura, draws inspiration from the 16th-century Celsing Court Tazza in the Toledo Museum of Art’s collection. This piece illustrates the material accomplishments of the early modern world. The goblet features an elegant bowl perched on a sleek, footed stem, reminiscent of the refined craft of the Renaissance. Accented with subtle silver leaf over transparent blue glass, the goblet evokes the sophistication of its historical predecessors.
